THE SHIP OF FOOLS 

 
“The Ship of Fools” is an artist’s collective on a festive pilgrimage sailing around the world – in praise of folly. They produce a popular comic theatre on their own seating on the quay side. It’s a floating theatre laboratory, a creative exchange between different artists and art styles, between cultures, languages and world views. Their ship is transformed in a bizarre floating sculpture that serves as transport medium, house, theatre laboratory and as scene and back drop to their shows. Since 1989 they have visited about 160 cities in 20 countries.
